Aaron and I have finally hit the halfway point in our year-long contract. It's all downhill from here! Despite our (my) wishes to stay here for 3-4 years, earning enough money to pay off those pesky student loans, we are pretty sure we are going to come home at the end of February. We just miss being home too much to want to stay longer. (and of course, providing our future endeavors don't work out, we can always come back!) However I doubt we will be moving back to Michigan, unless we can find jobs there for both of us; jobs that don't suck. We are currently looking at Colorado or basically anywhere we can live decently and make enough money to stay alive.

We had our 1 year wedding anniversary yesterday as well. We went down to Songtan to eat German food in celebration, as our presents to each other. There's a nice little restaurant there that's run by a German guy and his Korean wife; they have real (awesome) German beers and very very good food as well. Pricey but totally worth it. We also got a few things from the black market there; pretzels, parmesan cheese, oatmeal, and pickles. Unfortunately we thought the pickles were dill (Aaron has been crying for real dill pickles for months) and we accidentally bought the bread and butter kind instead. More for me! :)

Things are better now that we are pretty sure we're leaving. Neither of us are as stressed out at our jobs; Aaron now has some kind of plan for his lessons and I've decided to teach more fun/amusing culture-type lessons to my kids. They get enough grammar and stuff in their regular English classes. For example, this week I'm going to be teaching them stuff about text messaging. Showing them the "rulez" and basically just having a good time teaching them about something they're interested in. Because they all have phones. Even elementary kids have their own phones. I already taught them OMG, LOL, and BRB. This week I'll get into the emoticons and using z instead of s and so forth. Just fun stuff. I think they will like it. And I'll enjoy teaching it more.

Mum sent us some much-longed for stuff a few weeks ago. Since I have nothing else interesting to say, here's a picture of Lola in that box. Scary!
